My strategy for all TW games has been the same: Economic development in the home provinces. Establish trade with distant factions (so you can expand without losing trade partners). Economic development + trade = cash, so build up a solid stack or two of units and begin conquering nearby provinces.
Medieval II is the best Total War game ever made. Yes, I’m going to say this every single time I write about this game. There still isn’t a game that comes as close to being as influential for the franchise as Medieval II, which is probably the reason why CA hasn’t gotten around to release the third installment of the series. The
Good: Thranduil's Realm. OP as f*ck. Woodland Sentinels are boss and 2 units of archer demolish an orc unit in 1 or 2 vollies. Evil: Clans of Enedwaith. Surprise huh? The clans have such powerful Skirmisher units. Greyflood Raiders and Angren Raiders can literally demolish ANY unit in the game in about 2 vollies. And each unit can do about 13

Err, are you serious? ^ Access to the de facto Godmode units of MTW2 (horse archers), superb late units (JHI, JA, JM), the same broken Jihad that the other muslim factions get, great financial settlements etc. Really, in vanilla you need ~5 turns or so to crush the Byzantines and shore up everything north of Antioch thanks to the broken Jihad.
The mongols are a pain in the ar5e. they are tough fast and slightly less returded than the other AI factions in the game but still a little "special". The have the best cavalry, the best generals and they get 11 free amries. they can also survive without settlements. Beating them is the sign of promise in a total war player, wiping them out is
Third Age – Total War. The original mod, this overhaul requires Medieval 2: Total War’s Kingdoms expansion. It offers “epic and strategically demanding battles” with 14 unique and fully

They can expand safely into Scandinavia and also take the provinces south of Arhus and then you hit a problem. The Holy Roman Empire will pose a barrier to your further expansion. At
Introduction. The Moors were originally a nomadic people, the original inhabitants of Mauretania on the north coast of Africa. They rose from obscurity in the 8th century when they converted to Islam, and proceeded to spread rapidly in several directions - including north-west into the Iberian peninsula. They soon had almost total dominion over
